A Preview Of April Holidays

April is here and there are all manner of holidays and commemorations in this month. Check them out!

April 1 - April Fool’s Day
A day to pull pranks on your loved ones! Some pranks are light-hearted and some a little more mischievous but as long as everyone gets a laugh and no one gets hurt; go ahead and have some fun with your friends.

April 2 - Autism Awareness Day

Autism Facts: 1 in 110 children are diagnosed with Autism each year and it is the fastest growing serious developmental disability in the United States. Autism receives less than 5% of the research funding of many less-prevalent childhood diseases. Wear blue on this day to show your support for finding the cure for Autism.

April 6 - Good Friday
Good Friday is a religious holiday celebrated by Christians in remembrance of the crucifixion of Jesus on Calvary.

April 6-14 - Passover
Passover is a Jewish holiday in remembrance of the Exodus from Egypt for the Jewish people. One of the most significant observances during this time is abstaining from eating leavened bread to signify the way the Jewish people had to leave Egypt in a hurry, without time for their bread to rise.

April 8 - Easter
Easter is a Christian celebration. Christians believe that on this day Jesus rose from the dead after his crucifixion.

This is also a day many people celebrate the Easter bunny. Similar to Santa Claus the Easter Bunny also brings gifts to children on the holiday. The Easter Bunnies gifts usually include colored eggs which are traditional Easter symbols of fertility, new birth and the welcoming of spring into the home.

April 19 - Holocaust Remembrance Day
This day is the anniversary of the Warsaw ghetto uprising which was the largest revolt by the Jews against the Germans during the Holocaust.



 
April 25 - Administrative Professionals Day

A day to honor the administrative professionals at your work place.
