It's Football Season - What Team Are You Cheering On?

The staff at Lexington Heights Apartments is pumped that it's finally football season. We surveyed the staff to see what they love about football and dug into their team loyalties. Below you'll find some tips for enjoying the football season at Lexington Heights. Plus, in honor of the most popular sport in the United States we're holding a drawing for a $20.00 gift card to Papa John's to one lucky winner!

Watching football is always better with some great food. Where to Watch

Check out the game on Lexington’s big flat-screen TV downstairs in the Clubhouse. The TV Lounge in the Clubhouse is a great amenity - with lots of cable channels available and some comfy couches. Remember it is FREE!

Football Party Crock Pot Nacho Chili Recipe

If you are hosting, here's a great nachos recipe recommended by our leasing staff.
Ingredients
1 - 2 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef (you can decide how hearty you would like it)
1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (16 oz) chili beans in sauce, undrained
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Hot sauce can be added for some extra heat & flavor.
Toppings:
Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Jalapenos
Sour Cream
Tortilla Chips

Prep Time 20 Mins
Cook Time 6 hrs & 20 Mins on low in crock pot.
Top and enjoy!
