Earth Day is Monday, April 22. It's a chance for us to take some time to focus on how we can make the planet a better place environmentally for everyone that lives here. There's quite a few events happening across the Twin Cities and Dakota County, you'll find links to them below.
WCCO put together a great list of greater Twin Cities events for Earth Day. They include a 5k Recycle Run at Lake Harriet in Minneapolis, and Como Zoo's Party For The Planet. Lebanon Hills Regional Park will be holding it's annual spring cleanup in conjunction with Earth Day. Volunteers are encouraged to register for the event and help get the park ready for everyone that comes to enjoy the great outdoors.

In addition to all of these events, there are other ways that you can celebrate 'Earth Day' everyday. One way is properly disposing of the your large items such as furniture and electronics. We've put together a list of local resources for our Lexington Heights residents where you can drop off these items, and recycle or reuse items like electronics and clothing.
