Mendota Heights will be holding its Annual Spring Clean-Up Day this Saturday, April 28. From 8:00AM to 1:00PM you will be able to drop off a variety of materials for recycling at the Mendakota Park on Dodd Road south of Highway 110. Mendota Heights is partnering with Dakota County to bring you this great opportunity to dispose of household hazardous wastes and recycle a variety of materials. Some of the items that you will be able to drop off for recycling include rubbish, scrap metal, mattress, bikes, tires, electronics and more.
Those items not accepted for the event include all business electronics, and the following household electronics: curling irons, straighteners, “white goods” such as refrigerators, dish washers, stoves, etc. For a complete list of what can, and cannot, be dropped off, refer to the list published on the Mendota Heights website here.
Please note that there are some fees based on volume for particular items, while many others are able to be disposed of for free. Check the list for details on the fees. Lexington Heights also charges a fee for any of these items that are disposed in our dumpsters or recycle bins. By taking these items to the Annual Spring Clean-up you can dispose of these items cheaply or even for free!
This is a great opportunity for you to do your own spring cleaning and dispose of these items in an environmentally safe way that keeps them out of the landfill.
